The Ichikowitz Family Foundation has a strong track record of conservation leadership within Africa having financed and initiated innovative anti-poaching and environmental programmes for nearly ten years.

The Foundation’s anti-poaching initiatives include the donation of surveillance aircraft and other critical equipment to national parks, the provision of training programmes to strengthen the capabilities of park rangers and counter-poaching units, the implementation of award-winning global and national campaigns to raise awareness of the plight of endangered species, and the creation of one of the largest Anti-Poaching Skills and K9 Training Academy’s in Africa. The Academy was awarded a Guinness Book World Record for the training and deployment of the world’s first anti-poaching skydiving dog.

Over the years the Foundation has strategically partnered or supported various organsitions including Gabon National Parks Agency, SANParks, North West Parks, Elephant Protection Initiative (EPI), Saving the Survivers, the African Pangolin Working Group and HRH Princess Michael of Kent in her capacity as Patron of various Cheetah Conservation organisations, including the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre.
