The Ichikowitz Family Foundation funds and manages the AFRICAN ORAL HISTORY ARCHIVES which documents the untold stories of key events that shaped Africa’s modern history and stimulating debate around major current political issues. The ‘World Tour for Unity’ is presented by The Ichikowitz Family Foundation and the Alma Nostra Foundation in Paris and includes three concerts in Johannesburg, Durban and Soweto from 22 to 25 April 2015, featuring the acclaimed fifty-eight member Alma Chamber Orchestra. Led by Concertmaster and Artistic Director, Anne Gravoin, with Brazilian pianist Nelson Freire, under the direction of Lionel Bringuier, the programmes include works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Wael Binali and Aram Khachaturian.

The Ichikowitz Family Foundation has been funding a free hospital in the Republic of Congo since March 2012 after an ammunition depot explosion in the capital, Brazzaville, killed almost 300 people and injured or displaced 15,000.
